Hunter Knighten-
Hunter was born in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on November 1, 2020. Our hearts were filled the moment we were able to hold Hunter. Hunter was born with facial differences and failed two hearing tests in the hospital. The doctors did not know what TCS was and for 3 months we went physician to physician seeking answers. One day I googled underdeveloped ears and hearing loss. Within 10 minutes I found a picture of a little boy that looked just like Hunter, he had TCS. I diagnosed Hunter myself and the next day found a Craniofacial team. Hunter has a random gene mutation on the TCOF1 gene. For many months we struggled to find the doctors and resources Hunter needs but, he's now thriving with the world at his fingertips. We know of 9 families in South Carolina with TCS in their family and we can't wait to meet more!
